Gouche and pencil on paper.
I guess many of us had nightmares as children. I was afraid of the dark and used to see faces in the walls. Here I’ve let my imagination go,,,“things that go bump in the night.” I mainly paint these days but it was good to use pencil again as well as the brush.

I remember all of these goblins and ghosties well despite the many years since I last saw them lurking in the shadows. Unfortunately, in adulthood they are replace by even more formidable demons. Great drawing and very enjoyable to view!

Now I have action packed dreams…and I am the one who can fly ! I think those Edgar Allen Poe stories my brother use to tell me didn’t help. Cheers ~ Anni :)

Thanks everyone, this was rather an experimental piece. It actually is 3D and front parts (drawings) fold out) impossible to show. It makes a change using a pencil. Cheers ~ Anni

These are brilliant and remind me of the gargoyles and chimeras I saw at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.
