Sometime ago I bought some small boxed canvases, size 6 × 6 inches in a sale. Last week I seeked them out and painted some cats on them. This one shows a tuxedo cat called Poppy. He likes nothing more than hiding amongst the colourful tissue paper blooms of these Californian Poppies. I think he is waiting for butterflies.

Hello again Anita, I think the expression on Poppy’s face is one of guilt…he might have been up to some mischief maybe? I wish I could grow these Californian Poppies they are beautiful flowers…I love them with deep blue cornflowers. Thank tou ~ Anni :) xxx

Hello Karin, my ever pet at age 3 was a black and white sleek female cat, she kept herself immaculate. I feel this one would have been male of stocky build but with a very sleek black coat and white waistcoat. Thanks my friend ~ Anni xxx
