Yup, I am still alive…although I’ve been absent from RB just recently.
I will have a good looksie this weekend and see what you have all been up to.
Spring has sprung downhere in the South Island of New Zealand. There has been a very impressive display of blossom from various trees: cherries, plums, magnolias and camellias.
Dunedin holds a Rhododendron Festival each year and this year …

Just bringing you up to date with the ‘happenings’ over the last fortnight. On Wednesday July 15th we had an earthquake! I know New Zealand is prone to them but this was quite a big one, even by our standards. It hit at 9.22pm and was 7.8. It was Fiordland’s biggest quake biggest for 80 years. The epicentre was located in Dusky Sound at the south-west corner of the South Island.

My Week….ramblings from a Faraway Palette at Owl Cottage, Dunedin, New Zealand.
I’ve been working on a small 10×10 inch canvas (acrylic) on a favourite subject of mine…a feline. This one is a champagne coloured cat and reminds me very much of ‘Milo’, a cat I had some years ago. He is sadly no longer with me. He followed me everywhere and that was how he met his untimely demised when he was just over a year old. He was hit by a car and I found him the next day in the gutt…
