Really whimsical and clever. I love the different expressions on the faces of the nuns. A few look resigned som bored and others bland. I wonder why? The one to the right of ‘bad’ looks very disapproving (by design or default?). I love this.

Where did You get this idea? .... the nuns’ faces are so real …. I know I nhave seen too many of them …. :) ... well done!

I don’t know what it’s like now, but women didn’t all used to become nuns for altruistic reasons! Love this humorous comment on a way of life I could not endure. Mind you, I’d probably catch a cold with a plunge neckline like your charming misfit!

Reminds me of a photograph taken of me (actually a series, but mainly one is remembered by me) , in a seductive pose, stretched across a Harley, wearing a nun’s habit that was arranged strategically to show off the stockings and garter belt, blowing smoke from my cigarette up and out. And below it were the words ‘Smoking is a bad habit.’

I like painting nuns, too, but they don’t always like having to use paint thinner to get clean afterward.

No, really, I did a charcoal drawing of a nun from the cleavage down to the .. cleavage .. one time, with the cross dangling in between. I was hard put to make her look like a nun, but, it worked. Then, later, I made an acrylic painting of what turned out to be a nun in hell. I’m not even sure how it turned out that way lol But, every now and again, I break out into a fit of nun painting, myself, and I enjoy seeing your nun paintings.

That is sooo funny Anni. LOL! – ‘Tart Among The Penguins’ – but who knows what those penguins are hiding from under those habits. Maybe the ‘lady in red’ is the purest of them all. Excellent creative work Anni. You have such wonderful wit in your art. It’s great! A major fav. for me. :)
