Here I managed to indulge using some of my favourite colours, creating a person and painting flowers.
I saw this beautiful sofa/chair in a magazine ad and wanted to incorporate it in a painting. So this is the end result.

    Hi Stephanie, thanks for your comment. I do also love that particular colour combination of red and green, perhaps it reminds me of Christmas. When I was working on this one, the sun came in through the window and hit the canvas, the red just came to life. I did put on many thin layers…for density of colour. It doesn’t really come through on a photo. I believe the backgrounds to paintings are just as important as the main subject/s. ~ Anni :)
