Thanks for all your comments. Yes absolutely love delphiniums. Can’t grow them too well in my own cottage garden…seems to have acid soil so lilies, azeleas and rhododendrohns grow very well. At least I can indulge by painting them though. Cheers ~ Anni

I see many of your images that I like, how to choose? This one with the Asian archetecture in the background resonates with me. The colros maybe? Its beautiful but also touches something in me deeper than esthetics, memories perhaps.

Anni, that is so lovely. Such an unusual point of view, sort of abstracted a bit. I like the way you concentrated on a section of the cottage rather than the whole cottage and I just love the way you have painted the delphiniums. Such gorgeous colours in this painting. You have such a beautiful paint style. A big fav. for me. :)

Hi Orla, I love colour and I had a great time using them in this painting. Your comment about abstraction is an interesting one. I rarely paint things true to life when I look back on my work, they take on a fantasy feel. I love old buildings, I live in an old villa…you can see it in my portfolio (photo) and flowers and gardens have always been important to me. Thanks for your thought about this work :)) ~ Anni
