Camille
Acrylic on canvas.
I wove a little story around this painting. I felt her face looked French and named her Camille. I then begun to write a love letter from her imaginary lover Edward. When it was finished I translated the letter into French and wrote it on the background of this painting.
Camille belongs to the following groups:

Great portrait, very expressive. I like what you tell about the fantasy letter you wrote.

Thank goodness for translation programs on the Internet …as my three years of school French isn’t the best. Trying to capture the right expression is always difficult.

Hi Anni.
She is beautiful. I love the colours.

Nicely painted… the text gives it an unusual individual quality !

You said you translated into french on the internet? Just so you know, they aren’t reliable. Most of the words are correct but they have terrible grammar and a lot of work misuse occurs. But great painting!!!

I did only 3 years of French many years ago Matt..the text is disjointed because of fitting it in around the face…didn’t expect it to be exact…but give a feel to the piece. Thanks.

My schoolgirl French wasn’t quite up to this, so I used a translation programme…I guess it isn’t quite right..but you get the idea. French has always sounded the most romantic of languages to me (along with Italian of course) ~ Anni :)
