Good evening Patricia, I can remember bringing home Victor in a shopping bag (on the bus) with my Mum ~ thats when I was a child living in England. He kept poking his tiny head out of the space where the zipper was open :) Mittens was a New Zealand cat that travelled back with me to live there for 8 years…then when I came back out to New Zealand he came too of course. He was very well travelled and lived a happy, active life for 17 and a half years. Where would we be without our animals? Glad you have your Buffy back ;) ~ Fond regards Anni

Hello Colin, Glad it reminds you of your cat…happy memories :) I was looking at the tabby markings on my cat’s head…I simplified them here for this ginger/marmalade cat, as they are soooo intricate. Yes I love using colour…and the irises deserve the best treatment possible. Thank you ~ Anni

Perhaps it is best he is there for the moment, so they can keep a close eye on him. The best thing for trauma is rest, I have seen many animals make amazing recoveries after several days of rest. Healing vibes ~ keep in touch. Anni x

Hi deegarra…I used to read a beautiful book to my children called The Patchwork Cat…and I just remembered the book I read as a child with attractive illustrations, it was called Orlando the Marmalade Cat. Perhaps I should start thinking about it. Cheers Anni :)

Hi Wayne, Thanks for your comments. I have always been a cat lover, they all have such different personalities. I had a stray at the age of 8…it used to sleep in an old doll’s pram of mine in the outside porch. It was a very harsh English winter, heavy snow. I called her Queenie. She was an elderly, torn-eared tabby with white bid…not much to look at, but she had a purr like a steam engine and a lovable disposition. ~ Anni

Hi Gregory, Funny you say that some else has said I paint in a ‘childlike’ way. In many ways as soon as I sit down with my paints, I get excited, that kind of excitement that I knew as a child. I once heard we all need to keep the child alive in us. Thank you for commenting :) ~ Anni
