After ten plus long years of drought the Riverina, southern NSW welcomed heavy rains in late May 2010. A large mob of sheep was being moved towards Tuppal North Station, Tocumwal for the Shearing of the Rams re-enactment of 72 stands of blade shearing in the historical shearing shed. The mob were into their second day of travel, heavy with wet fleeces when they came upon the levy bank outside Tocumwal, almost at their overnight destination. Rain poured down and clouds broke briefly in the background to reveal the stunning beauty of steam, rain and the Australian way.
