Exhibiting in London- PREVIEW TUESDAY 28TH APRIL. 2009

BREAD AND BUTTER EXHIBITION
R. K. BURT GALLERY
57 -61 UNION STREET
LONDON
SE1 1SG

Bread and Butter is an exhibition that brings together a group of artists for whom paper is an important consideration within their practice. Whether it is used as a support for a drawing or a print, in a working sketchbook or artist’s book, or as a sculptural medium, the origin of paper can be traced back over millennia. The title Bread and Butter, refers not only to the use of paper as a staple part of an artists’ creative output, but also to a large scale, good value type of paper bearing this name.
