Lake Louise is one of the most wonderful sights in the Rocky Mountains of Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. The village of Lake Louise itself is at an altutude of some 5,000 feet above sea level. The scenery is timeless and looks just the same as when my father photographed it in 1943. I followed in his footsteps around the Rocky Mountains, but Lake Louise, one of the most photographed places on earth, is to me a place of spiritual calming from the noise of our everyday bustle and hustle lives.

I chose this view, to take this photograph, over the more famous view which appears on all the Canadian Rockies postcards and calendars. I hope you will like it too!
