ANNE, THIS LOOKS LIKE IT COULD BE THE EYE OF MY FIRST WOLF HYBRID, NANNU. HE WAS 80% TIMBER WOLF, 20% MALAMUTE AND PURE WHITE WITH GOLDEN BRONZE EYES, JUST LIKE THIS ONE. THIS ONE WENT STRAIGHT INTO FAVORITES AS SOON AS I SAW IT. BOB

  • Anne Staub replied

Thanks Bob. How do they look like these wolf hybrid? never heard of them before.

A WOLF HYBRID IS A HIGH CONTENT WOLF WITH SOME DOMESTIC DOG MIXED IN. MY FEMALE WAS 75% ARCTIC, 10% GERMAN SHEPHERD, 15% MALAMUTE. SO SHE LOOKED MORE LIKE A WHITE SHEPHERD BUT LONGER AND LANKIER. MY PARENT MALE WAS 94% TIMBER WOLF, 4% GERMAN SHEPHERD AND 2% MALAMUTE, SO HE LOOKED JUST LIKE A TIMBER WOLF YOU WOULD SEE IN THE WILD AND THEIR SON WAS 85% ARCTIC/TIMBER, WITH 7% GERMAN SHEPHERD AND 8% MALAMUTE, HE TOOK ON HIS MOM’S PATTERN AND HIS DAD’S COLORS. HE WAS WHITE WITH A SMOKEY GREY COLOR ON HIS BACK AND TAIL. MOM WEIGHED 80 LBS., DAD WEIGHED 100 LBS. AND SMOKEY WEIGHED 147 LBS. I MISS THEM. THANKS FOR ASKING. BOB

  • Anne Staub replied

And how wild were they? I used to have a Bengal cat (which one day disappeared…...) and they had to be several/many actually, generations down and mixed for them to be domestic. He’s character was still quite wild and he still had wild habit, he drunk like a wild big (leopard/lion) cat not like the usual kitten lol, he also liked water and would move the water around with his paw before drinking in his bowl. (they’re well known to jump into baths). I also find him one day, on the table stealing food pulling my son across the table on his tummy as he was holding on to it!! lol He looked very much like this one

I SEE YOU HAVE BEEN READING LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD. NO, THEY ARE NOT WILD, AS LONG AS YOU RAISE THEM LIKE FAMILY MEMBERS AND YOU BECOME THE ALFA. THEY ARE LOVING, CARING, TENDER, CURIOUS, SHY, LARGE, CUTE, OBEYING. THEY LOVE KIDS, MINE NEVER ONCE GROWLED AT CHILD THAT CAME TO MEAT THEM. I MISS THEM A LOT. I HAD TWO CATS THAT WERE SISTERS A LONG TIME AGO. THEY WERE PART SIAMESE AND PART TABBY, VERY CUTE LOOKING CATS, BUT WHEN I GOT A DOG, EVERY TIME I WENT TO WORK, THEY WOULD TEAR UP MY APARTMENT, LITTERALLY. SO I ENDED UP GETTING RID OF THEM AS WELL AS THAT PARTICULAR DOG. THAT BENGAL CAT IS PRETTY. BOB
