Gorge walkway 3
The reflections were spectacular on the return walk back to Kings Bridge. The light had come back and a rare sight was visible in the South Esk River. Taken on the very easy walkway to the Cliff Grounds and/or first basin. This walk is right in the centre of Launceston City, about ten-fifteen mins walk from the mall.
It is easy to get away from the hustle and bustle of traffic and shops and pretend one is miles away. Tis an amazing place and I guess Launceston people are not aware how lucky they are to have such a place within an easy walk of most areas.
The added bonus is that it is free. There are no charges on entry and during the summer tis a very popular swimming and picnic spot. Tis where boys meet girls and mums/dads take children and tis a great spot for the daily walk or jog.
There are two cafe’s up there, both with fantastic food if one wishes to dine in style with great views of the first basin. One perhaps with better views than the other. But please book if you want to sit down for lunch.
Taken with my Canon 400D.

Great capture Anne, I’ve never seen it this perfect.
Anne O'Connor replied
I agree, I have never seen reflections in the river there either, but that is not to say it has not happened before.
