Caretaker's Cottage, Launceston, Tasmania
A monochrome image taken of the South Esk River as it travels along the rocky walls of the Launceston Gorge towards the Tamar River mouth.
This cottage is now used for Artist’s in residence who are successful in getting a residency in Launceston where they can spend a number of weeks developing an art project that will culminate in some form of benefit to Launceston and to themselves. See report from person who has experienced this
To me it would be a fantastic place to stay and experience the wonders and mood of the Gorge from your balcony.
Taken with my 400D Camera and converted from colour to monochrome in photoshop.

Great shot Anne, it DOES look like a good place to stay and focus and capture the gorge in its many moods.
Anne O'Connor replied
Thanks Garth. Maybe you could apply for a residency sometime.

Looks great in mono Anne, love the little reflection of the house tucked into the corner too.
Anne O'Connor replied
Thanks Nick, I kindof liked that too and intended it to be there.
