Hi Anneke, awesome tree in the winter morning sun. Most people would NOT choose a winter setting for a “Peace” scene; I’m curious to know if the title and the scene developed together, or was one in your head first, therefore being the inspiration for the other?

Reminds me of those old trees you see on the African Plains. They sit all alone with nothing but grass land around them.

Ted, the painting was made for a Super Contest of ArtDuel, the theme was “Peace”. In my humble view, the tree looks like a hand and the branches form the peace sign (=V). :)
Beautiful Work Anneke and I find a tree a very calming thing anyway so having it as the subject for Peace just seemed just be so poetically right to me :D
Thank you for your lovely comment on my Robin, I had placed him there before Christmas but he really did need the extra details so I am much happier with him now :)
