For our Fallen Soldiers
….. This is Dedicated to Robert and Bella, my great nephew & niece. They drew me a rough copy as an idea of a painting they wanted me to paint when they recently visited me. Their love for soldiers and for our country was encouraging to me. They are wonderful young people. They wanted me to paint the soldier with tears running down his face however I did not. The reason being this soldier is supposed to be my Uncle Anthony who was killed in WW2. He was a paratrooper. I believe soldiers have a calling and are very brave so much so as to give their lives for their countrymen. Greater love has no man than this. ♥☺
John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
Romans 5:5-9 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!
Revelation 21:4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
