Sunflowers..Glimpses of God’s Goodness
With the Polar Vortex freezing us and sending 3 years worth of snow fall on three forth’s of our country, I decided to think warm thoughts of summer and of God’s blessings of Sunflowers. So I painted a 20 × 14’ acrylic painting of my favorite subject,a family of Sunflowers.
As David Roper wrote in the daily Bread for March 1,2014 how in the midst of our busy lives and stresses of the day we need to stop and enjoy the beauty all around us. God has set us in a magnificent universe and we need to take the time to enjoy the patches of beauty around us. These are the places in the walls of the universe where heaven is breaking through and if only we take the time to stop and reflect on God’s love for us.
And I say we need to always thank Him for all he has given us, as well.
Psalms 104:24 O LORD God, how manifold are thy works! In wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.
