I do a lot of birdwatching and would love to get close enough to raptors to draw them. I’m trying to capture the majesty of the bird but also the lightness of flight.
Digital techniques would be ideal to capture this but I decided to do it all by hand.
Mixed media on watercolour paper – acrylic paint and inks, watercolour pencil and collage.

Many thanks Sophie – I love detail but try not to lose the whole. Combining techniques expands the possibilities too.
