Great shot! This is what we often call the gray jay or “robber jay” because they are used to people and brazen enough to interrupt a picnic and steal your food!

This is a tough one! My first thought was Gray Jay, but now I think it may be a Clark’s Nutcracker. If you go to that Cornell link & scroll down, you’ll see two comparison photos of the two birds. Very similar indeed. The Nutcracker has a longer beak, but that doesn’t compute in your picture. Gray Jays have face markings that seem to be absent here. In any case, this is a GREAT shot!
