Pear & Almond Upside Down Cake

3 Blush or any firm pears, washed sliced in half and cored,
1 ounce of Sugar
Butter for greasing,

TOP

4 ounces of Butter,
4 ounces of Castor Sugar
2 medium Free Range Eggs
4 ounces Self Raising Flour
2 ounces of Ground Almonds

Grease and sugar a flat dish, the pears flat side down in the dish with a cherry in the centre, cover with foil and put in the oven about 160c for about 30 mins or until tender, take out of the oven,
Mix all above ingredients above and pour over the pears, bake at 180c for about 20 mins or until cooked,
Then enjoy with Custard or Cream,
