For those of you who are not familiar with this series, what I am trying to do is to create a tool which explores the many different female archetypes.

Archetypes are those collectively inherited unconscious ideas, patterns of thought, images etc, which are universally present in individual psyches. Throughout the series I have used the same female model, to demonstrate that there are all these different aspects inside each one of us, and to show that women are multi-dimensional, complex and altogether fascinating beings.

However the Tarot story has really captured my imagination and although I was not familiar with this when I first started the series, I have discovered that it is a most amazing route to self-discovery.

This is a card about moderation. There is, however, another angle to the card, that of merging seemingly impossible opposites. Here, the angel-like woman is pouring together fire and water, both representing the different opposing parts to our personality. Similarly with the lion and the lamb. The lion represents the proud, fiery passionate side of ourselves, and the lamb represents the milder, gentle side. Here the card shows that these different aspects of self can sit comfortably together. We just have to temper those bits which are dominant and which take over our personalities at the expense of the other. The woman explains that it is when you begin to understand that you are the one who is keeping your universe in twain, holding life/death, material world and spiritual world separate, that in you, the two could merge.

I created this in CS4.
These are the images I used.

This Is Interesting Anna & Your Work Is Very Good.
While I Welcome Anybody On Board. There Is Only A Limited Amount Of Times I Will Comment Without Receiving Something Back On My Stream. Or A Reply From A B Mail.
I’m Not Familiar With The Tarot Altho I Do Appreciate The Work That Is Put In Anna.
Temperance For Me Means Teetotal As Alcohol Is A Poison & A Depressant & Dangerously Addictive. In My Opinion It’s Crippling Our Society.Police,Nhs, Etc……
The Word Teetotal Comes From Preston
Don’t Mean This As A Rant Anna. But I Have To Say It.
    All The Best
