The Fool
This is the first in my new series.
I was initially inspired by the way Carl Jung used the Tarot to get his subjects to explore their own subconscious selves, through the universal archetypes represented by each card.
At the same time, I had become aware that repeatedly we are bombarded with photo montages of women that are perpetuate romanticised fantasy of dreamy, pure, young girls, and I began to wonder what this does for our inner psyches.
I know that there is much more to us that that, so this deck is my attempt to explore different aspects of the female psyche using the archetypes inherent in the Tarot as tools. It is to be an exploration and celebration of women everywhere.
All Tarot Decks were designed for the epoch in which the creators lived, and their own beliefs. This one will reflect mine.
The Fool, traditionally is about the dilemma of making choices on life’s long journey.
As the series progresses, the Fool, which is ourselves, will embark on a journey of self awareness. We will meet all sorts of people who will help and advise us on the way.
Sometimes we get it right and embark on a series of adventures, and sometimes we get it wrong and flounder.
I would like to thank Mr E
for planting this idea in my mind-———————————————————————————————-
Created entirely in Photoshop CS4. Three different backgrounds were blended together and then the individual components blended. textures and colour fill layers were used to meld the whole together
The music is just beautiful, – Barbara Streisland singing ‘Send in The Clowns’

I am so looking forward to your deck! And great, break the traditions, it will be really cool to see what you get inspired to do! This is such a great start and to me the frog would mean possibilities because who knows what it really is, could be a prince….! :) Very well done!
Thank you so much. I wasn’t sure if any one would get it!! The Fool generally is about making right or wrong choices in life, so you are right it could be a prince, but on the other hand……….!!!LOL
