    thanks for the lovely comments.

    We lived in France for many years, and only moved here last September. My Son and Daughter in Law were expecting a baby, so we returned to be near them and to enjoy being grandparents. We are incredibly happy here. westagate is great, although Margate is very depressed and run down now. I hope that the European regeneration monies will help it pick up.

    Whereabouts in Westgate did you live? we are in Sea Rd, so it is wonderful to have direct views of the sea. Where do you live now?

    Hi Anna I lived in Ascot Gardens, on the other side of Canterbury Road from you. find the library and head up Minster Road turn at Lymington road and its halfway down there in the Georgian houses. We now live in Dawlish Devon. I cant see Margate ever changing now, it’s been as it is for years now. I think the soul has gone out of it, thats the only way i can explain it. Such a shame.     Thanks!!!! I thought that ‘add comment’ would do the trick, so I am grateful for the advice.
    I know the Georgian houses!! They are lovely. We live in the new apartments that were built on the site of the old Ivyside Hotel.

    I am loving Redbubble, – only wish there were a few more Photoshop Challenges. Maybe I will find more as I find my way around the site.

    i love living on the coast and Margate gives us somme great pictures. I can’t wait to get my first dslr to be able to capture images like this. What camera do you have by the way? I’m shopping at the moment

    A big welcome to Red Bubble. We live in Westgate, not far from Margate. Margate is certainly not my favourite place in Britain, but this day I was incredibly lucky.

    I have a Nikon D200 but must of my photographic work is HDR, where you take many exposures of the same scene and then merge them in a software programme – Photomatix Pro. I think that the HDR gives much added impact.
    Anything I can do to help, just send me a bubble mail.

    If you live locally, I would strongly recommend the Kent group. There are some fabulous people who are always willing to support and help.

    As a youth I lived near the Sea Shores of the Rocky Coast of Maine, Now That I live in the High desert of New Mexico the views are many miles appart, but the appreciation of the working seas although missed yet more enjoyed ! here, that you have captured and stimulated their abscence with your creative spirit, Enjoyed and Appreciated !
