McArthur Park in moonshine

Some-one left the moon
Out in the rain
And it grew swollen,
Full of pain and heavy heart
Someone took away
A piece and the moon
Was incomplete
Someone pushed the moon too far
And it fell out of the sky
Someone took the moon
And it was very dark.

i can actually visualize your poem, and it’s saddening thoughts. great words however, and a wonderful work.

  • thank you , written in my head whilst driving, crying and the moon in the distance was the hugest I’d ever seen and MacArthur Park playing on radio……..
