into the land of Dreamtime

On the hidden path
in glorious morning sun
I practice
walking with my head held upright
… for your sake …
as I go
I look at rampant weeds
smothering gentle native growth
and I think of my Soul ….
The light
bounced off the water’s surface
blinds me with it’s Bright ..
.. I walk closed eyed now
letting the breeze kiss my face
and lead me on …..
I came to this land
not knowing tis a land of convicts:
In the prison of own fears
I got to know
Is my sentence over?
I ask as I cross the bridge
into the land of the Dream time ……

.. I have made this little image little while ago and somehow I knew that I will be returning to it often in the future again …
I feel a very deep affinity with people who used to live in the area where I live now before the settlers took over (…I am not sure what did they call themselves, but Coomaditchy people are here nearby, and in general the little speck of what I know is that in Koori peoples Spirituality all originates from the DreamTime and from the Spirit of the Rainbow Serpent) ..
At the same time I feel a very deep affinity with convict settlers too ..

hhhhhmmmmm ….. all my works are for sale as RB products, I just really dislike that red button which says ‘buy it’ straight under my work …. so I took it off on most of them by now … but if you’d really like to buy print of any of my work, let me know and I will fix it …….

You have a great empathy and understanding of people their struggles their dreams their spirituality and the delicate interplay between old and new between the real world and the spirit world it comes across in your painting but now in your writing as well and its all good

This image of the Centaur touches something deep within me. Your profile in silhouette in the foreground is so compelling. This idea of Dream time and what we call ‘reality’ … so often these two plains overlap. IF we are quick, attentive and trying to wake up, we might sense the ‘crack in the egg’, and come a bit closer to what is real. I think lots of symbolism here for you and for me too!
    Love this piece.

I am so happy you’ve picked up that silhouette – it was purely accidental ..
I know, I agree: dreams and reality are not opposites as some people sometimes seem to understand … rather they complement each other and always should :) I guess … thank you so much for letting me know your thoughts concerning this … it makes it all worthwhile for me in turn ….
    :)
