.. as she crossed from the land of convict to the land of dream time ... by

inks and water-colours on watercolour paper A3 size
.. continuing the same idea ..
.. the pink faun proudly inspired by Justin O’Brien’s retrospective :)
… the land of convict being the metaphor for ‘guilt’ and the land of dreamtime being the metaphor for free imagination connected to the land ….

On the hidden path
in glorious morning sun
I practice
walking with my head held upright
… for your sake …
as I go
I look at rampant weeds
smothering gentle native growth
and I think of my Soul ….
The light
bounced off the water’s surface
blinds me with it’s Bright ..
.. I walk closed eyed now
letting the breeze kiss my face
and lead me on …..
I came to this land
not knowing tis a land of convicts:
In the prison of own fears
I got to know
Is my sentence over?
I ask as I cross the bridge
into the land of the Dream time ……

a poem written later in time and surely connected with this ‘personal mythology’ theme

About annamora

hhhhhmmmmm ….. all my works are for sale as RB products, I just really dislike that red button which says ‘buy it’ straight under my work …. so I took it off on most of them by now … but if you’d really like to buy print of any of my work, let me know and I will fix it …….

amazing the way this has come together, wonderful concept beautifully painted

  • thank you so much Zefira … I think I will be returning to this concept more often from now on .. I realised for the first time yesterday that I can somehow ‘mythologise’ my experiences by now … must be old age ….

    love this, what colours
a splash of ink and faun of pink,
    Bridge across the river styx
    the dreamtime of together
where no one is never alone
no one to disturbs our kisses
    with the insistant ringing phone.

Lol . another great work of your creative imagination

  • thank you Tim
it’s a thrill to get your comment in rhymes ..
.. and you are so right calling it a river Styx
