mainly acrylic media on paper A3 size … … my acquaintance with magpies goes back to first years of living in Australia – of course – one is bound to meet them ….. after meeting them I went through stages of – disbelief … denial … fear … respect …. humorous pondering and admiration – most recently – gradually as time went by I got to know – their ways ( ! beware ! ), their story and finally also the ‘folklore’ surrounding them ….. .. ferocious, protective, cunning, naturally black and white …… … the image of magpie was from here
These birds are amazing……we have lost our Magpies to a disease……they say they are making a comeback, I hope so, what great fun to watch them!! This is such a wonderful piece!! love it!!
