..inspired by the book I read right now called ‘Women who run with the wolves’ by Clarissa Pinkola Estes ….
… the title really just wants to cover up that I feel these (fairy tale images) are a bit ‘over the top’ and so the ‘fairy tale’ title is for me something like a smoke screen allowing me to let myself upload them …. this one is very loosely related to the myth of Marsyas being subject to hubris for daring to express her/his own truth …..

I believe arts making creates connection between our inner and outer worlds.
I love the depth, the lightness, the playfulness, the seriousness and the inexpressibly sincere nature of relationships which tend to ‘just happen’ while sharing interests, passions and frustrations about art :)

This is a very special work, congratulations Anna.

  • … thank you so much Richard … to get you call it special is very special for me … gee .. not sure if i make sense here … but I just got it badly criticized by my son – for obvious reason – as this being too RED … lol .. so i was quite apprehensive about uploading it … also the photo is not the best quality … if I get to it I will try to re-take it … thank you for you comment :)

Anna, I get criticized because I rarely use the colour green in my work, don’t worry. This work if full of creative imagination.

  • LOL .. that’s nice to say in reply Richard :)

I love the rich symbolism here Anna, even if I’m not too sure about interpreting it… it’s a strong image with a touch of whimsy :-)

  • thank you so much Matt … very value your comment … even for me it’s one of those that I do not really know about interpreting …. sometimes it does show a bit later …….

really wonderful Anna- you have the ability to give viable shape to internal questions, stirrings, conflicts, struggles etc (in a very expressive manner I might add)- as well as the work standing in its own right- not an easy thing to do- alot of stuff going on- as far as the red- use more next time then show your son (just teasing)

  • Fred … I just LOVE your comments …. :) …
    LOL
