lovely! Colors are so sad, but there’s the anticipation a change in color, now that soul is free.

  • annamora replied

thank you Michael, I think this one I did not resolve much …. but i work intuitively and I might try another variation on the same … i was not sure how to deal with the cage … realistic or just suggested as an idea …. I chose the second way but I might try to get some good reference and work it out realistically …. don’t know yet :)

This is such a powerful piece annamora.

To me it appears she is loved but puts her ownself into the cage for some internal fear of love, or life or being rejected or if she were not able to stand on her own. The other hand seems to catch her if she falls and indicates to me someone wants to help if she does fail. The hand opening the door indicates ….come out and see the beauty in the world.

My interpretation only, of course. Excellent piece to involve the viewer into their own story plot.
    WELL DONE !!!!

    Love it !!!!!

  • annamora replied

thank you thank you so nice of you Deborah …. that was the intent ..to just suggest something – making it ambiguous …. I am glad it works … and i like your interpretation a lot :)

I love this one. You captured so much here and it grabs the heart and evokes such a strong response. Noble self-sacrifice for the loved one’s good? or fear of being free? Captured so long, that she dare not step across the threshold? I hope you are exhibiting this series.

  • annamora replied

Yvonka … I do hope to exhibit one day yes :) … but not until I have heaps of things to choose from … so definitely not yet :) ...thank you very much for your words about this one – very valued :)
