Love the mixed mediums, perfect execution of activity of the hands and feet (many butcher these), the colors, the writings and the thought behind them. The endless attempt to meet the standards of beauty put on women in this modern society is what I get from this. It will always be “a time of defeat” for some of us. I hope I’m not out of line with this! I not normally a negative person! And I believe inner beauty can shine through!

This work is wonderful. You can almost feel the “last minute” rush to get ready…see the motion.There so many layers to it though and my favourite is the combination of her bare foot and the content of pink writing. Feet sometmes look so vulnerable and that one does in particular …it doesnt look like its used to wearing high heal shoes. This peice has actually made me a bit teary and I am really not sure why …but its wonderful. Thankyou :)
