This picture was taken near an old ghost town in central Idaho. This trail appeared to be an old road, which had been abandoned. You could see the dilapidated structures below the trail as you traveled. This picture actually started as color. To get the affect I was looking for with the black and white image I added a red filter and boosted the exposure and contract. This overexposed the sky, which added a kind of haunting effect to the image that I felt was fitting considering where it was taken.

Taken with a handheld Pentax K200D f/8; 1/60; ISO 200
