I have always had a love for photography but during my school years found the whole darkroom a little unsocial and expensive for a teenager on a tiny allowance. But the thrill of “what will it look like?” always kept me intrigued.

I started to look at the world differently after I lived overseas and found I was viewing everything with a frame around it…. So with that I bought a little compact camera (as a friend calls it the Disposable Camera) and started out taking random travelling photos.

I arrived back home to the Northern Beaches of Sydney in March 2008. With a stunning coastline and no time to lose – I was out on the beach at sunrise on my 2nd morning home.

I am still only using my little canon compact but that is all I need right now. One day i’ll upgrade to these monsterous cameras with every flashy gadget and lens (maybe Santa will be nice to me this year)

But until then…. enjoy what I capture with my wee little camera….

Any tips would be greatly appreciated… As a newbie to this whole thing Im an eager sponge looking for any information that can help me achieve THAT shot…
