This is a stunning synthesis using symbols and images to convey a warm
and emotion filled gift that is priceless and a treasure for anyone fortunate to
receive your “song.” As I said, many of your images fit our group, the healing
journey. This would be a wonderful addition to the members, many who will
find comfort in this lovely image. It is hard to choose from your vintage series
because all of them are endearing and poignant. Elton John wrote about a song
that was a gift and you have provided the visual for his touching lyrics.

I meant to say that Jim Croche’s song Time in a bottle is the song that I associated to,
not Elton John. I thought of it because it is one of the most beautiful songs from
this gifted performer.

Julie ~ Thank you so much for your lovely comment on this piece, I appreciate it very much. This was one of my first ever attempts in PS and I created it for my beautiful son who was going off to college for the first time. I couldn’t really put into words how much I would miss him so I decided to put it into a picture instead. He is majoring in music at Bennington College in VT and has written a few songs for me in the past but none that I could actually see! These are his hands by the way. I’m so happy that this has left an impression on you and I would be so honoured to share it in the group, in fact, share it with anyone who can relate to it. I always meant to change the title slightly to ‘when words are not enough’ but I think it says everything it needs to. Thank you again for stopping by my work.
