My name is Anita Nixon. I am a mixed media artists and art teacher in Charlottesville, VA. I would say that to some extent I am both new and old to the art world. I graduated from art school in 1996. But I took an alternate route after graduating. I got married, had a few kids, took a “corporate job” and started the never ending cycle of doing what I was supposed to be doing. I decided in the past few years to go back and pursue those things that have always been a passion of mine. Art. I went back to school and finished my teaching certification and now I teach elementary art. I LOVE my job. I have also rediscovered my passion for the arts. So here I am. I want to not just sell my artwork but to reconnect with the community that has always been so dear to me. So any feedback you have would be much appreciated. Thanks!
