In a lot of my work I concentrate on detailed backgrounds and this was my first attempt at a sort of “reversal”, bringing the outside in. I have done similiar things on a smaller scale, but loved doing this one as felt quite “intuitive” and allowed me to draw much bigger than usual, experimenting with pattern and shape. Already inking my next “outside in” piece :))
