Original Ink Drawing by Anita Inverarity

“Midnight Hours Series”

A little whimsical creepy piece which just came out. Probably inspired by my love of all things Tim Burton & the dark imaginings of “inner childhood” when spooks and bumps in the night seemed as real as anything in the daylit hours.

Original Sold October 2011

Others in this series so far….
The Dark Dead Meadow
Midnight Hours, Deathly Flowers
The Eerie Empty Ocean
The Little Grey Gravesitter
The Dead Wind Downs

Anita, I like the flow of lines and that mysterious little, set of eyes, peeking out. That the cat and her are in the journey together protecting one another. :) xo

  • Oopsie- I pressed the wrong button- so replied below- have a great Sat Draven ………x

I just finished a Nora Roberts book about a little girl named Emma, who expressed the magnified feelings and emotions of how it feels to be a child and when every blade of grass that moved sounded like monsters! What you said here brought that back deeply! I love this!

  • Thank you Ellen :)) Sounds like a good book. You know when I was little I had what I know know is called “clairaudiaunce”- Hope I spelt that correct but basically I could hear things that were not of this realm, it made for a very frightening childhood lol. In my mid twenties I started having very vidid “clairvoyance” vision but funnily enough without the sound. Once a “medium” told me I was sensitive and could do what she did but I wasnt ready and I wonder if thats why I’ve never experienced both together, and quite honestly dont want to lol. I sometimes remember quite strongly those childhood memories but thankfully nothing much spooks me these days :)) x

    Anita,
I’ve not heard of this term, which I won’t try to spell, but I too have been told I am an ‘empath’ and also called a ‘sensitive’? I feel things too deeply and can’t hear or watch violence and such… I’d not want to see too much either! smiles…but so glad you can imagine what you do do!

  • I think its v.common in creative types :)) Your sensitivity comes across in your beautiful paintings & the flow of your lines xx
