Quirky Quines Series 2
This is from my second series of Scottish Inspired Girls. “Quine” means girl in the North East of Scotland. Its my local dialect and we call it the Doric. This time the girls with have a whimisical, vintage feel. I’m thinking of childhood memories when the victorian influences could be seen in our parks and fairgrounds.

Original available in Black Frame with extra deep cream mount/black insert. Please enquire if you are interested

Beautiful! I love her expression. And the two swans. And the scarf. And all the detailing. How do you get the sky so black?

  • Thank you so much !! I use a layer of black letraset marker and then a layer of Posca Ink Brush Pen (which goes on very similiar to indian ink & dry’s really smooth). xx

The colors and style are perfect. I just finished one with a peacock. This looks much more difficult with all of the detail. Brilliantly done. :)

  • Thank you Lenora- Look forward to seeing your peacock- I have thought to do one but those feathers are pretty complex- I know you’ll do them brilliantly with your line work xx

Great as always, love the details. These colours really work so well, they’re really comfy :-))

  • Thank you Babsi- I searched everywhere today for the right frames for these- I was pleased with the batch I got for series one, but no longer available so back to the drawing board. Its so hard to get decent affordable framing here xx
