Original Pen & Ink Drawing by Anita Inverarity

My homage to Poe in a Graphic Novel style
Inspired by his work The Raven

A Verse from The Raven
Open here I flung the shutter, when, with many a flirt and flutter,
In there stepped a stately raven of the saintly days of yore;
Not the least obeisance made he; not a minute stopped or stayed he;
But, with mien of lord or lady, perched above my chamber door
Perched upon a bust of Pallas just above my chamber door
Perched, and sat, and nothing more

Also available on a cool tee…….

    LOL, this is GREAT! You’ve captured Poe’s ‘craziness’ very nicely! One of my favorite poems by my favorite poet! LOL…ok….MORE MUSIC! HA! OMNIA That’s their website – gotta listen to the ablum ‘Alive’…here’s a YouTube video for The Raven They made it into a song and it’s very haunting! (They’ve got one called Wytcehs Brew too….a little double double toil and trouble set to music….GREAT STUFF!)

  • OH MY- Where do you find all this amazing enchanted, fresh from the forrest sounds- I LOVE LOVE LOVE them and The Raven clip is very cool indeed- THANK YOU Mwahhhhhh xx

    _Hear the loud alarum bells
    Brazen bells!
    What a tale of terror, now, their turbulency tells!
    In the startled ear of night
    How they scream out their affright!
    _

    (from The Bells)
