Original Ink Drawing by Anita Inverarity

Large scale piece- Exhibiting at Gallery Q, Dundee- Feb-March 2014

The artwork title is “Flora’s Garden” but this is also the Empress card in the Tarot Deck that I am just starting (a long term project).
The Empress is a very calming and nurturing presence- Often a mother, expectant mother or carer. She enjoys the surroundings of nature and beautiful things, she is strong & loyal and fair in her dealings.
I could not imagine the Empress not owning a cat so I included the kitty here, although she has given it a little toy mouse to divert it from her beloved garden birds such is her peaceful nature.

Anita Inverarity is a fine art illustrator residing in North East Scotland. Her intricate line work is influenced by the classic Victorian illustrators, pop surrealism and underground culture displaying a classic vibe with a modern twist.

Your drawings are getting more detailed, more complex, more colorful. I’ve always been a fan of your style, but you just keep getting better.
