  • AnitaInverarity replied

Thank you Dave- Hehe- I drew it for the Lolita at Play “Dolly Challenge”

The doll reminds me of the ventriloquist doll of Anthony Hopkins in the film ‘Magic’. The doll has a half doll / half human element. In the same way as the Magic doll – the Loli doll is a copy of its owner in doll form.
The stars and fluffy clouds are a cuteness in contrast to ‘scary Loli and her doll’.
The hearts on their dresses stand out like modern day company logos. Very distinct. Love the dark line kinda teardrops under their eyes.

  • AnitaInverarity replied

Thank you so much Paul, I find dolls quite sinister sometimes, I guess that came out :))))) xx

  • retrocharm

Wow – awesome work – Love the background too :)

  • gottheshot

At present, the Loli has a face to say ‘Well ? Do you like me and my doll ?’
The tilted face I woudl say is a character with ‘attitude’. :o)
I know what you mean about dolls. We judge people by their expression and so dolls can be classed as ‘creepy’.Dolls have a blank expression and hence
they are like an expressionless person that we can’t judge their ‘mood’ or their
    ‘thoughts’.
To make your picture ‘a little more sinister’ you could straighten the face of the Loli and tilt the face of the doll. The viewers eye then transfers from the attention fo the eyes of the Loli to the ‘attention grabbing’ doll. Mwah ha ha :o)
    Just an idea :o)

  • AnitaInverarity replied

Hehe Yes I think that would have a good effect :))) Tiz done now tho xxx
