The goddess Freya is often depicted with her falcon wings. Here she is depicted on earth heralding the start of spring.
Freya embodies the sensuality of the lover and mistress in Tarot and Runic associations, she is linked to fertility. Decorating Freya’s neck is a gold necklace, an emblem of the stars and the earth.
By her side is the cat- Grey cats and Black Cats are associated with Freya, as is the runic symbol Fehu which is shown in red, the usual colour for this symbol.

    OH wow, the colour looks great! I love your B&W work but you have managed to keep the same exquisite detail in colour! amazing! Is the colour mainly pencil or coloured ink pen as well?

    Hi Gen- Thank you so much. This is an older work when I used to “do” colour more heehee, glad you like.
    The colour is purely coloured pencil and I’ve just used black ink pen for the outlines and over drawing.
    I do have 2 more pieces similiar to this style, but I’m still looking for them.
