I am revisiting Wonderland at the moment.
This is the first in a set of 3 Miniatures that
I am framing together.
Part of my Wonderland Book Project.

Inspired by the first Chapter of Alice’s Adventures
in Wonderland by Lewis Caroll.
Pen and Ink (Edding) on Heavy Catridge Paper.

    The way you captured this is just Fab, what talent you have, Have you ever seen Grace Slick’s version , her White Rabbit series is interesting but in a different way.

    Cracking work. There are some quite cunning subculture references in there if you know where to look. This and the Cheshire cat look stunning matted and framed in the sidebar photos — if they don’t sell, I’ll be surprised.

    Another of the wonderful thing about your Alice drawings is that she actually looks the age she was intended to be. I really can’t praise your drawings enough Anita … they always excite me … well, in an intellectual sense that is … I don’t leap about waving my arms and legs :)

    I am ‘late to the tea party’ again with my comments I see :o)
    Alice the onlooker with the antics of the white rabbit with his pocket watch of moon and stars for ‘missing numerals’. I love his leaning forward stance to show his urgency and I love the locks of Alice’s hair which come forward across her shoulders at the front. Her expression seems 50% amazement/50% surprise as does the face of the bird in the tree :o) WONDEROUS :o)

    I cant wait for the caterpillar especially – brings me back to the Disney version with his clenched fist on the hookah thingy and all the other fists all clenched in unison.
    I shall watch this space – waiting for the caterpillar to arrive and to see the surroundings you set your Eat me Cake in :o)

    Thank you :))))) I currently exhibit 3 times a year with my group, but have just been accepted into 2 others- I sell the originals framed and unframed and also top up with prints/cards through bubble.
    This series is part of my illustrations for Alice in Wonderland, when I’m done I really want to self publish on Lulu or Blurb :)))) Might take me a while tho xxxx

    Love the whimsy and textures in your illustrations. They are miles better than the cutesy, sugary-sweet illustrations you usually see for Alice in Wonderland.
