This one was A3 which is about as large as I go coz it does take a while for my backgrounds (I kind of go in a trance tho I think). I sold it a few years ago for a very cheap price :L Glad you like- I take that as a huge compliment from someone so talented xxxx

I painted a version of the Owl and The Pussycat for a friends daughter a couple of years back.
such fun.Might do it again one day.I love all those old childhood fairytales and things you don’t hear any more.Like these two such special characters :-)

I’ve always admired the Book of Kells and the Book of Lindisfarne for their exquisite detailed backgrounds, but you are the modern-day equivalent Anita. Edward Lear would have been impressed by this.

I love the imagery in this poem and revisit it often. I sold the orginal of this some years ago and the gentleman who bought it recited the whole of the verses- I was very impressed.
I apprecaite your words so much Dave. I wish I had the technical skill and patience to tackle intrigue celtic works, that really amazes me, as my backgrounds are more organic and just kind of evolve. Maybe one day I’ll try a tribute in that area :)))))))))))) xxx

Just been having a good old gander through your gallery, this one particularly caught my eye as I’m working on something to do with Owl and the Pussycat :) –
It’s lovely, the detail in the background is gorgeous – I think my hand would give up on me before I got even half way done :P

Thank you. I dont keep track when I’m drawing (this one was larger A3) Hmmm maybe 8-10 hours on and off- Little ones I can do in a few hours (of an evening)- I should take more notice hee hee xx
