I live on an old ranch in central California and enjoy photographing life around me. During my travels away from the ranch, I have gotten into the habit of taking my camera with me.

My most recent journey was a trip back to Turkey, where I had lived as a Foreign Service brat. My late father was stationed in Ankara, Turkey from 1959 until he retired in 1967. I attended junior high and high school at a DODd school, which I refer to as Ankara High School.

My memories of life in Turkey are good ones. I grew to love the country, the culture, the hospitality of the people and the cuisine.

I finally broke down and purchased a digital camera in March of 06. I learned how to use it during my first trip back to Turkey in forty years.
