A city full of resplendent architecture where new buildings sit like debutantes, unashamedly mixed with their old maiden aunts. Many buildings have grown old gracefully displaying an elegant decaying beauty.
Krakow was at its most beautiful at night: it had a dreamlike quality with gently lit buildings and walls bathed from soft street lights.
Post processing has involved blue tones and enhanced chiaroscuro to convey the dramatic tension between the beauty of the place and people and a painful dark past.

Great series Anita, I think this is the cream of the crop for me, the toning works very well, the subject is composed well and the vignetting adds to the intrigue. I even like the extensive descriptive notes. Well done.

Great image Anita. It must have taken a lot of work. I really like the contrast and textures.

I don’t know how I’ve missed this one. The shadows , did you photoshop them?
    ;-)
    Gordy.

  • Not really Gordy, I did play around with curves to boost the contrast but only used PS to tone down the odd overbright pebble.
