I study photography with an emphasis on fine art, social documentary and photographic history.
My husband bought me my first ‘real’ camera, a digital SLR for my birthday. Since then I have moved on to traditional darkroom methods using 35mm, medium and large format film cameras. I am also interested in mixing historic and modern processes.
I am interested in the narrative and visual language within photographs and the way in which sequencing, text and referencing within a body of work can alter and inform our perception.
In 2008 I was successful in gaining a Distinction from the Royal Photographic Society and passed their Licentiateship.
