Hailing from small-town Ohio, Angie Spicer is a 2008 Creative Writing graduate of Miami University. After graduation, she spent a year teaching English to Tibetan refugees at the College for Higher Tibetan Studies, Sarah, located in Dharamsala, India.
On December 31st, 2008, Spicer fulfilled one of her life-long dreams: meeting His Holiness the Dalai Lama. She presented him with a box of Esther Price Light and Dark Assorted chocolates.
When she isn’t trying to recreate Indian chai (unsuccessfully) or writing, she likes to read at least 50 books a year, crochet more scarves than she’ll ever wear, and is an avid postcrosser.
Her future plans include moving to a big city and eating ramen for several months, and going to graduate school for either Creative Writing or Tibetan Studies.
