    felicity you are really gonna hate me then. i dont every recalling seeing one until this one just a few days ago. but strangely the next 2 days following the day i shot this i seen one that following day and then again the next day after that at almost the same time all 3 days, in almost the exact same spot!! it was amazin!!

    You’re right – I am SOOOO jealous! Oh how fabulous! I’d never seen anything like it at all before, and had to go searching on the net to find out what it was. Worst bit was it was a double one, but one on top of the other, not on each side of the sun. Yours is one superb shot, well done!

    thanks felicity!!! i didnt know what to call it either!! it was only after i had contact with rick and deb i found out what it was called. the day i shot it i refered to it as a rainbow thingy! lol!! :)

    I would have forgotten it was called a sundog-thanks for the reminder. This is a gem and a beautiful collaboration! I can’t wait to try some sort of collaboration…I just have a huge schedule right now and have to try to keep the economy from toppling me. I hope I get to do it sometime soon, though.

    H Angie, lovely photo but one of these birds tried to have a go at our Little Toby so he doesn’t get out much at the moment, there also two Hawks that have had a look so we are always with him until he gets a bit bigger.
