We all have them. They come out every year, a few less in number. I can’t bear to part with them, not because of how much I paid for them…they were some of the least expensive I ever bought, newly married, on a budget. Most are forty years old, and for some strange reason still surviving. I didn’t pack them away in any special way, but by luck of the draw, they are still here. Each Christmas I put them out in a large beautiful bowl because I know my sons will remember them and all the memories they hold.

I am a photographer who loves to paint. Or, I am a painter who loves photography? No matter, they are very compatible! :) I really enjoy working in watercolor, and love the magical qualities that it can give to a work of art! You will see photography, watercolor and acrylic paintings on my bubble. Hope you enjoy! :)

I have ones like that too, Angie – some have the color scraped off, just a bit ratty looking – but somehow Christmas is better served by the familiar loved ornaments of the past.

  • Thanks for the very thoughtful comment Christina! It makes it special every year when I pull these old ones out of the box and see that they have survived another year. :)

Faved immediately, Angie!! Full of treasured memories. I have some of my Mom’s as well….they don’t make them like they used to.

  • I agree Sally! The old ornaments made of glass had a certain charm that you don’t see today, but most of all it is the treasured memories stored inside them. Thanks for the fave! :)
