Winter wheat is one of the few green things left on the battlefield of Gettysburg, Pa. USA in December. It highlights McPherson’s Barn sitting in the background so well. I never tire of this scene from the past and find it beautiful in all seasons. This is the first year that I can remember rivulets of water and gullies in the wheat field at this location, but our area of Pa. has received 36 inches more than the normal rainfall during 2011, so things have been very wet this fall. I find the gullies add interest, but the erosion of course is not a good thing.

I am a photographer who loves to paint. Or, I am a painter who loves photography? No matter, they are very compatible! :) I really enjoy working in watercolor, and love the magical qualities that it can give to a work of art! You will see photography, watercolor and acrylic paintings on my bubble. Hope you enjoy! :)

Lovely scene, Angie. We’ve had more than our share of rain here in Ohio this year as well. I never tire of seeing farm scenes such as this & how I love all the farmer’s fields that surround our house. Every time I see farmland, I think of how America feeds the world.

  • I agree Marsha that we are very fortunate to have these peaceful idyllic scenes around us to enjoy. I walk this area frequently and never tire of the view. Thanks so much for the very thoughtful comment and fave! Have a wonderful weekend!
